Purple Haze is Gran Canaria's hardest-working classic rock power trio. Formed when Rob returned from Norway, he teamed up with Australian guitar legend Lee Spence and Dutch drummer Etienne van Sas — and the chemistry was instant.

This power trio covers everything — Classic Rock, Pop, Reggae, Soul and Blues — and remains one of the island's most in-demand live acts. After a legendary near-4-year residency at the Hard Rock Cafe Gran Canaria, the band is still going strong, packing venues across the island with high-energy performances.

Lineup changes have come and gone: Dave O'Connor on guitar and vocals, Poe Luzardo on drums, Carlos Nebot and Carlos Lopez on guitar. But the energy never dips. Purple Haze is Rob's longest-running band project — well over a decade of stages, crowds and late-night rock and roll — and they're not slowing down.
