The hardest-working band in Gran Canaria. Purple Haze was formed when Rob returned from Norway, teaming up with Australian guitar legend Lee Spence and Dutch drummer Etienne van Sas.

This power trio covered everything — Classic Rock, Pop, Reggae, Soul and Blues — and quickly became the island's most in-demand live act. When the Hard Rock Cafe opened in Gran Canaria, Purple Haze was installed as resident band for nearly 4 years.

Lineup changes came and went: Dave O'Connor on guitar and vocals, Poe Luzardo on drums, Carlos Nebot and Carlos Lopez on guitar. But the energy never dipped. Purple Haze remains Rob's longest-running band project — nearly a decade of stages, crowds and late-night rock and roll.
