About Triology

Triology was a harmony-based, three-part vocal band with a warm, hippie-infused feel that transported audiences back to the Woodstock era. At its heart was PG Roness — the spiritual leader of the trio, a captivating frontman whose acoustic guitar, soulful harmonica and distinctive singing style drove the band with fantastic energy. Every performance had an organic, free-flowing quality, fuelled by his presence and the natural chemistry of the lineup.

PG Roness — Per Gerhard Roness (1951–2023) — was a richly accomplished Norwegian musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lillestrøm. In the 1970s he was a key figure in the band Matheus, whose album Musikk fra Balders hage (1974) became a cult classic. He later marked himself as a solo artist with the 1995 single "Summer of Love" and recorded extensively with artists including Terje Tysland, Trond Granlund, Just 4 Fun, and Det norske jubelorkester. His harmonica, piano and guitar work appeared across dozens of albums spanning several decades.

The father and son combination of Bob and Rob Gorman completed the trio, giving the band a unique dynamic — a shared musical instinct that made their three-part harmonies lock together effortlessly. There was a truly magical, trip-like feeling to the music they made, blending folk-tinged originals with reimagined covers that captured the spirit of the late 60s and early 70s.

Triology was more than a band — it was a moment. A meeting of generations, cultures and influences that produced something genuinely special in the Gran Canaria live music scene.
